This is the second conference organised by the Commonwealth Centre for Connected Learning in Malta – the 3CL in its abbreviated format. The 3CL is an education foundation registered in Malta, and currently supported by the Ministry for Education & Employment in Malta and the Commonwealth of Learning in Vancouver – more on the 3CL and its operations on this site.
The 2018 conference levers on the networks and communities of practice that gravitate around the 3CL to focus on the blockchain as an emerging technology with significant promise for the education and employment sector.
Natalie Smolenski (PhD ABD) is a cultural anthropologist who leads business development for Learning Machine. As an author and public speaker, she focuses on the intersections of identity, technology, and government. By bringing a scientific perspective to distributed digital technologies and social transformation, she helps audiences from all backgrounds understand how individuals connect to form communities and build the infrastructures of the future. On Thursday May 17th, she will be discussing Self-Sovereignty and the Blockchain in regard to decentralizing education.
