Presented by Chris Jagers, CEO Learning Machine
The blockchain revolution has recently come to the education sector with the promise of providing a tamper-proof infrastructure to facilitate student ownership and use of academic records. This means students can share their official records directly with anyone and have them easily verified as authentic. These records no longer have to be transmitted by a third party, which is a fundamental break from the typical vendor-controlled ecosystems where rents must be paid to use or transmit official records.
This presentation will include 3 parts:
— Introduction to Blockcerts and the importance of open standards
— Discussion of enterprise platforms that make it easy to deploy Blockcerts
— Review the MIT case study for digital diplomas
