FERPA

“FERPA” stands for the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, a law which protects the privacy of student educational records held by United States educational institutions that receive federal funding. FERPA gives students (or their guardians, if the students are under the age of 18) the right to control the disclosure of their education records to others. Learning Machine’s credential Issuing System is a naturally compliant solution that gives recipients full control over their own academic information. A digital credential can only be viewed if a recipient has chosen to share it with the viewing party, credentials issued using Learning Machine have no ongoing dependence upon Learning Machine for viewing, sharing, storage, or verification.
